You have worked so very hard to get people to visit your Etsy shop, it would be a shame to not keep them there. An easy way I keep shoppers clicking around in my shop is by including links to different sections and other listings that compliment the item they are already viewing.
For example, if you were to visit one of my blog design listings you would see a phrase similar to the one shown below included in the description:
I usually surround the phrase with special symbols to section it off from the other text and to make it be more noticeable.
Did you know Etsy links, meaning links that will take you to a page on Etsy.com, are clickable?
When you include these links in your listing descriptions, about page, public profile and in other areas of your shop they will automatically be converted to a hyperlink. You do not need to do anything special or use any HTML code.
Sometimes when I link to specific searches within my shop I use Bitly.com to shorten my links. Bitly.com is the officially recognized URL shortener for Etsy. Etsly links with Bitly.com appear as Etsy.me links, as shown in the example below.
So instead of using a link that looks like “https://www.etsy.com/shop/RhondaJai/search?search_query=black+and+white+blog+designs&order=date_desc&view_type=gallery&ref=shop_search“, I can make it pretty with Bitly.com and have it appear as “http://etsy.me/1Al6YSg“.
